I went to India on a study abroad with my University. I was skeptical about safety issues and the attitudes that I would be approached with because of how much a blue-eyed blonde would stand out there. However, everywhere I went in India was even better than the last and I was greeted with the utmost respect. If you want a truly unique experience outside the typical vacation destinations, have a great group of people to go with (I do not recommend this as a solo trip), hold an appreciation for breathtaking historical sites, and love warm cultures, India is the place for you! Not to mention, if you can budget the flight to India, once you get there you will be shocked at how reasonable the prices are for 5-star hotels and daily amenities.
