Humayun’s Tomb
Here lies the Mughal Emperor Humayun. The order for this elaborate tomb to be built came from Humayun's first wife, Empress Bega Begum, in 1569-70. You may expect it to have just one structure for the tomb but it boasts dozens of historic buildings, gardens, and fountains. Second to the Taj Mahal, it was one of the most breathtaking sights I visited during my time in India.

Jama Masjid
Yes, this is my website cover photo and one of my favorite picture spots of all time! one of the largest mosques in India. Though it was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1650 and 1656 and looks like they could have finished construction yesterday. Absolutely incredible.
Qutab Minar
Construction of the Qutb Minar's first story began around 1192. It is now 239.5 feet tall and boasts five stores with only a 47 feet base diameter. Interestingly, a spiral staircase of 379 steps can be found inside. Though this is the main attraction, buildings with incredible architecture and ruins surround t. Their excellent condition all this time later will amaze you.

The Red Fort
This massive fort was constructed in 1639 by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It served as the palace of his fortified capital Shahjahanabad, named for its walls of red sandstone.
